Member Spotlight: Rivercrest Residences
Rivercrest Residences is a Tahlequah townhome community built from the ground up for quiet, design-forward stays, where guests are provided with more than just a place to live.
A physician by training, Dr. Grant Cox did the thing most operators only daydream about: he built an entire rental community from the ground up. Rivercrest is a set of modern townhomes with quartz kitchens, private covered patios, attached garages wired for EV charging, and a furnishings package styled after the model unit using pieces from Four Hands and Crate and Barrel. Zoom out from the units and you find three fire pit areas, a walking trail, raised-bed vegetable gardens, and covered pavilions with commercial grills.
Dr. Cox' ability to bring a property vision to life and to relentlessly deliver for his guests and residents (he has earned Superhost status and a 5-star rating on Airbnb) is exactly what makes him the kind of operator we love spotlighting, and we're thrilled to have him in the HostGPO network.
How long have you been in the vacation rental industry, and how did you get started?
2025, We built a multifamily complex next to a hospital system and a tourist area.
What is your favorite rental property you have and why do you love it?
All of our units are the same, but they are very well designed for comfort and quiet with community spaces for outdoor relaxation.
What do you love the most about hosting?
Those notes about what a positive difference staying in our units made while someone was on a work assignment, staying close for a loved one in the hospital or simply vacationing.
Can you share a particular moment or guest review that made all the hard work worth it?
We had a guest named Sharon who was reuniting with extended family and her comment that the unit had everything that they needed and they felt special staying in such a pretty space. They could just spend quality time together without needing to leave for anything and rebuild those family bonds.
How do you create unique and memorable experiences for your guests?
By design everyone has their own space while also offering a create shared open kitchen/living space. The units also have a private patio. The difference is that everything is elevated. From the banister to the furniture to the tile work. The units are design forward and elevated. We do not have any clutter, so the space is also very calming.
What's one "pro-tip" you'd be willing to pass on to the community?
Create a beautiful space with little to no distractions so the guest can create the experience that they want for their stay.
